CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The American Rivers Conference released the 2021-22 All-Conference teams on Thursday, May 12 and both Lucas Huffman and Jackson Eells were named to the first team. Huffman received first team honors in both singles and doubles, while his partner Eells is first team in doubles.

Both Huffman and Eells helped lead the Orange & Black to a single season record for team wins in a season with 25. The previous record of 16 set in the 2018-19 season was broken by almost nine games.
 
Huffman had a record-breaking season in both singles and doubles play this season with overall records of 21-4 and 18-7 respectively. All his matches played this season were in the number one position. The Marion, Iowa native's 21 singles wins in 2021-22 set the single season record for singles wins at Wartburg. The senior also moved to the top of the all-time Wartburg singles wins list with 61 victories in his career, with 57 coming at number one singles to extend his already owned record. In doubles play, Huffman set the program record for all-time number one doubles wins with 54 career wins.
 
This marks the third time in Huffman's career he has been selected to both the singles and doubles First Team All-Conference team by the A-R-C.
 
Eells led all Knights in doubles wins this season with a record of 19-7 in number one doubles. 18 of the wins came with partner Huffman and the other win came with Kyle Sehlin. Eells and Huffman won 11-straight matches during the spring season for their longest streak of the year. The Cedar Rapids, Iowa native had a good singles showing this season with a record of 16-9 overall. The sophomore was 7-2 in the number two position and 9-7 in the number three spot.
 
The honor is the second-straight season earning First Team All-Conference for Eells.
