WAVERLY, IA— Sophomore Joe Pins was named to the First-Team Academic All-District, as announced by CoSIDA.
 
Pins, who hails from Dubuque, Iowa, earned NWCA Scholar All-American honors, Academic All-Conference Honors, and earned All-Conference honors this season. Pins went 26-7 this season and finished in eighth place at the NCAA National Championship.

Pins has a 3.67 GPA in Engineering and was the third place finisher at the 2021 NWCA Championships. 

The 2021-22 Academic All-District® At-Large Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
 
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in June.
