CarrieAnn Randolph named assistant women’s wrestling coach

WAVERLY, Iowa-- CarrieAnn Randolph has been named the women's wrestling assistant coach at Wartburg College, Brady Kyner, head women's wrestling coach announced today.

"I am extremely excited to announce the addition of CarrieAnn Randolph as our assistant coach for our women's wrestling program," said Kyner. "CarrieAnn has exceeded all that we were looking for in our hiring. She is highly motivated, committed, and passionate about growing women's wrestling while pushing our women to reach their full potential in everything they do. CarrieAnn brings us leadership and experience that will help Wartburg women's wrestling continue the culture of excellence."

Randolph comes to Waverly after spending the past academic year as the assistant women's wrestling coach at North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC), in the inaugural season for that program.

"It's really hard to leave but I'm thrilled for the opportunity to work at Wartburg College," said Randolph. "The coaches I'll be joining are extremely excited and passionate about this new team and growing the sport of wrestling."

Prior to NIACC, Randolph spent the 2021-22 academic year as the volunteer assistant women's wrestling coach at Lincoln Memorial University, an NCAA Division II school in Harrogate, Tenn. This program was in the club stage as it looked to grow in numbers to compete at the varsity level during her time on campus.

She spent two seasons as the graduate assistant coach at Waldorf University, and the previous two seasons as an assistant coach at Pacific University, her alma mater.

The Honolulu, Hawaii native earned her bachelor's degree from Pacific in 2017.

She will begin her duties at Wartburg on July 1.
