PELLA, Iowa – No. 11/12 Womens basketball defeated Central College 64-54 Saturday afternoon. The win moves the Knights to 16-2 overall and 9-0 in American Rivers Conference play.

- Britney Young connected on a three for the first points of the game for the Knights to make it 3-2 Wartburg, early in the first
- Sara Faber stopped the 10-0 run by Central with a free throw followed by a layup by Young to cut the Dutch lead to six with 2:17 left in the quarter
- Finley Fitzgerald made a pair of free throws at the end of the quarter as Central took the 17-8 lead into the second

- Macy Harris made a layup followed by a Jaedon Murphy three-pointer to cut the Central lead to eight with 6:25 remaining

- Murphy made two layups followed by a pair of free throws from Fitzgerald to give the Knights a 39-36 lead with 2:41 remaining in the quarter
- Faber finished the half with a pair of free throws to give Wartburg a 41-38 lead going to the fourth
- Fourth quarter
- Harris scored five-straight points to start the quarter to spark a 10-0 Wartburg run two minutes into the fourth
- Murphy connected on a three and Woeste made a layup
- Minutes later, Faber added to the lead with five points of her own as she made a layup and connected on a three-pointer to push the Knights lead to 16 halfway through the final quarter
- Murphy made a layup to stop a 7-0 Central run to make it 58-47, but Central went on another 7-0 and cut the lead to four with 1:22 remaining in the game
- Wartburg finished the game with six made free throws to win the game 64-54
