WAVERLY, Iowa-- In its second season, the Wartburg esports Overwatch team finished as the National Runners Up in the National Finals of the NECC Emergents Division bracket.

Emergents Division national bracket:
Quarterfinals: Wartburg 3, NDSU 2
Semifinals: Wartburg 3, North Park 2
Finals: Robert Morris 4, Wartburg 0

"I am extremely proud of all of these players and the work that they put in," said head coach Josh Fischer. "With Overwatch going through some updates and changes this spring, we were able to adjust and still find wins. Although we weren't able to come away with a championship, we played well and will have this entire roster returning next year for another shot."
