LAS VEGAS, Nev.  -- The No. 1-ranked Wartburg men's wrestling team improved to 6-0 on the season after sweeping three duals against Manchester, Vanguard and Menlo (Calif.) at the 2025 Desert Duals. The Knights combined to outscore their opponents 110-23, turning in another destructive day on the mat. 

Wartburg opened the event with a 41-10 victory over Manchester, winning eight of 10 bouts and recording five bonus-point performances. Following a setback in the opening bout, the Knights responded with a fall by Devin Murphy at 133 pounds, sparking a stretch that included technical falls from Kade Blume (141), Reese Osborne (149) and Caleb Olson (157). Aiden Brosinski followed with a first-period pin at 165, while Kasey Ross (184) and Mitch Williamson (285) added technical falls. Cal Dorota capped the dual with a major decision at 197. 

The Knights carried that momentum into round three, cruising to a 37-4 win over Vanguard. Wartburg secured bonus points in seven bouts, highlighted by technical falls from Blume (141), Charlie Dojan (157), Ross (184) and Williamson at heavyweight. Brett Birchman and Brosinski contributed major decisions, while Matthew Arias and Mike Slade added decision victories to round out the scoring. 

Wartburg closed the day with a 32-9 triumph over Menlo (Calif.), claiming seven bout victories. Birchman set the tone with a major decision at 125, and Blume remained unbeaten on the day with another bonus-point win at 141. Dojan posted a major decision at 157, Ross earned a technical fall at 184, and Dorota secured a decision at 197. Williamson punctuated the dual with a first-period fall at heavyweight, sealing the Knights' sweep at the 2025 Desert Duals. 
 
NOTES 
The Knights haven't dropped a Desert Duals match since the 2021 season (North Central – 21-14)...With three different teams, Wartburg did not lose a single match in nine total duals... The top-ranked Knights combined for 10 technical falls to lead all teams throughout the day... the Wartburg 2 team sat just behind with nine....Wartburg also led the field with 359 total match points...the Knights won all three duals to be of four teams to do so (Snow, Wartburg 2, Wartburg 3).
