WAVERLY, Iowa-- The No. 4 ranked Wartburg wrestling team will compete in the NCAA Division III Region VI Championships Friday, Feb. 28-Saturday, March 1 at the Alliant Powerhouse in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. 

The American Rivers Conference will serve as the host and is one of seven hosts around the country who will each send 30 wrestlers to the NCAA Division III National Championship March 14-15 in Providence, Rhode Island. 

Region VI includes 18 total schools. Each of the nine current American Rivers Conference schools, Blackburn College (SLIAC), Cornell College (independent), Eureka College (SLIAC), Fontbonne University (SLIAC), Huntingdon (independent), Illinois Wesleyan (CCIW), the University of the Ozarks (independent), Schreiner University (independent), and Westminster (SLIAC) comprise the regional competition this year.

In addition to the right to earn a the title of "Regional Champion", wrestlers will challenge for the top three spots in each of the ten weight classes. Those top three spots will earn automatic spots in the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships.

Massoma Endene is a two-time defending Regional Champion at 197. Kyler Romero (141) and Kasey Ross (184) are defending Regional Champions.
