WAVERLY, Iowa – No. 8/13 women's basketball continued its American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) dominance with a 77-56 win at home over Luther College in the A-R-C Tournament semifinals on Thursday, Feb. 27. The Knights were led by
Sara Faber and
Lauren Woeste, who combined for 46 points tonight in the win to push Wartburg to 24-2 overall.

- First Quarter
- Luther got the first score of the game, but the Knights answered with a free throw from Jaedon Murphy and a three pointer from Britney Young to take a 4-2 lead after one minute
- After two minutes of scoreless play, Lauren Woeste and Sara Faber both scored in the paint, but Luther closed the lead to 8-7 with 4:35 left in the quarter
- Wartburg closed the first quarter on a 11-4 run led by nine combined points from Faber and Woeste to make the score 19-11 after one quarter
- Second Quarter
- Faber and Woeste continued where they left off, each scoring four points to begin the second quarter to give Wartburg a 27-13 lead with 7:13 left in the half
- Over the next four minutes of play Faber, Natalie Bearbower and Woeste all scored from the free throw line to keep Wartburg in front 32-15
- The Knights closed the half outscoring Luther 8-7 after four more points from Faber and scores from Murphy and Woeste to give Wartburg a 40-22 lead at the break

- Third Quarter
- The Knights jumped out to a 7-0 run after a Murphy layup to open the half followed by five-straight points from Faber after back-to-back layups with the foul
- Wartburg held its lead over the next three minutes after scores from Lauren Golinghorst and Faber to make the score 52-24 with 4:18 left in the third
- Luther outscored Wartburg 9-8 in the final three minutes of the quarter to close the Wartburg lead to 60-33
- Murphy and Woeste both scored four points each during the run
- Fourth Quarter
- The Norse made a three to start the fourth quarter, but Wartbug answered with a free throw from Murphy and a layup from Bearbower to keep Wartburg ahead by 27
- Wartburg had balanced scoring over the next two and a half minutes with four different players each scoring two points
- Lauren Donlea, Faber, Golinghorst and Woeste all scored for the Knights
- Luther finished the game on a 9-6 run over the last four minutes, but Wartburg closed out a 77-56 win at home
