Wartburg, Four Individuals Honored By ITA

WAVERLY, Iowa- The Wartburg men's tennis program earned the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic team award, and four individuals were named Scholar-Athletes, the national organization announced today.
 
This is the seventh time in the last nine years the men's program has been honored.
 
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements:
  • Have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year
  • Be listed on the institutional eligibility form
 
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must meet the following requirements:
  • Have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale),
  • All student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and
  • All varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year

Keegan Weber, Joseph Haag, Kellen Jones, Robert Matera

  • Fourth-straight honor for Haag
  • Third-straight honor for Jones
  • First career honor for Weber and Matera
  • Wartburg earned team award in: 2007-08, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19, 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25
