The No. 1-ranked Wartburg College men's wrestling team (9-1, 3-0 A-R-C) dives into the 2026 American Rivers Conference duals this Saturday, Jan. 24 at the Stoltz Sports Center on the campus of the University of Dubuque.
The Knights will open with No. 9-ranked Central College (10-3 overall, 2-0 A-R-C) at 10 a.m., followed by Buena Vista University (3-7 overall, 0-3 A-R-C) at 11:30 a.m., and Dubuque (6-4 overall, 2-0 A-R-C) at 1 p.m.
Wartburg has taken down conference foes in 44-straight duals, dating back to Jan. 23, 2021. The Knights sit atop the A-R-C standings, while Dubuque sits behind second, Central fourth, and Buena vista in eighth.

LAST SEASON AT THE A-R-C DUALS
Wartburg faced all three of its upcoming opponents last season, perfecting a 3-0 record. The Knights handled the Spartans 43-6, blanked the Beavers 56-0, and finished the day off with a 35-6 victory over the Dutch.
SERIES HISTORY
Wartburg leads the all-time series over Central, 45-12-2, securing its last 32 duals against the Dutch. Central last defeated Wartburg on Jan. 11, 1992. The last time Central and Wartburg met when both teams were ranked inside the top 10 was on Jan. 20, 2018, where the Knights managed a 39-6 triumph inside Levick Arena.
Wartburg controls the all-time series against Dubuque, 52-11-2 with a current winning streak of 44. The last time the Spartans took down the Knights dates back to Jan. 15, 1969.
The Knights have strung together 30-consecutive wins over the Beavers, leading the all-time series 42-13. BVU last took down Wartburg on Feb. 10, 1994 (18-16).
NATIONAL STATUS – NWCA
The Knights top the NCAA Division III Tournament and slipped to No. 2 in dual rankings, as all ten weight classes feature a Wartburg wrestler in the latest NWCA rankings.
SEASON STATISTICS
The Knights have piled up 466 individual wins so far this season, with
Anthony Ulaszek leading the way with 21 – also tallies a team-best 15 falls. Wartburg has collected 102 tech falls led by
Charlie Dojan's 13 (19 wins). Syler Zdancezewicz's six major decisions lead the Knights' 61 on the year.
Wartburg has four different wrestlers that have yet to get beat this season: Dojan (19-0),
Kasey Ross (15-0), Mitch Williamson (14-0), and Paulo Valdez (3-0).
Wartburg boasts a 3-1 record this season against ranked opponents – 194-17-2 all-time. The Knights' only defeat this season came in the NWCA Championship against #6 Roanoke College (19-16).
