WAVERLY, Iowa – Women's basketball led from start to finish in a 58-39 win over Simpson College in American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) play inside Levick Areana on Wednesday, Jan. 21.
The Knights are now 11-6 overall and 7-1 in A-R-C play, while Simpson moves to 9-8 overall and 5-3 A-R-C play.

- Emma Townsley got the scoring started for the Knights with a contested layup in the paint before Katie Boulanger scored the next four points to give Wartburg a 6-0 lead after a minute and a half
- Following a Simpson score, Wartburg made four three pointers over the next three minutes to break out to an 18-2 lead
- Katelyn Aden made the first three pointer before Golinghorst connected on three attempts from behind the arc

- Simpson outscored the Knights 7-0 throughout the first eight minutes of the third quarter
- Hennessy made a turnaround jumper for the Knights first points of the half as Wartburg led 43-25 with 1:46 left in the third
- Simpson scored to close the quarter and make the score 43-27 headed to the fourth
- Fourth Quarter
- Boulanger opened the fourth quarter with a three-pointer and a layup to open the lead back up to 48-27 for the Knights
- Leading 48-31, both Hogan and Hennessy scored in the paint before Boulanger connected on her second three pointer of the quarter to push the Wartburg lead to 55-36
- Boulanger added a third tree pointer in the final minutes to make 11 points in the fourth quarter as Wartburg held off Simpson for a 58-39 win
