NAPERVILLE, Ill. --The No. 3-ranked North Central College Cardinals (13-2 overall) tallied a 37-8 triumph over the No. 8-ranked Wartburg College women's wrestling team (10-2 overall) Thursday night at the Gregory Center.

The Cardinals boasted out to 14-0 lead before the Knights could register a team point. Rewa Chababo (20-2) claimed Wartburg's lone win with her 18th career fall over Dasia Yearby (Fall 2:11) to move into the fifth-most falls in program history.

The dual featured a total of five ranked bouts, as the Knights saw six Cardinals individually ranked in the top 5 of their given weight class.

Wartburg suffered just its second defeat this season and is 10-8 all-time against ranked opponents.  

UP NEXT
Wartburg heads back to the state of Illinois for the D3 Invite on Saturday, Feb. 7 and Sunday, Feb. 8 in East Moline. The D3 Invite will be the last regular season contest before heading to the 2026 NCAA Regionals in Indianola, set for Friday, Feb. 20 and Saturday, Feb. 21.
