The Wartburg College men's and women's wrestling teams eye titles at the 2026 NWCA/USMC National Duals on Friday, Jan. 9, and Saturday, Jan. 10, inside the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls, Iowa., presented by A Better Way Athletics, Capitol Construction, and Defense Soap. 

Both Knight squads enter the tournament as the No. 1 overall seed in their respective brackets. The No. 13-ranked Wartburg women (5-1 overall) will open action Friday at 10 a.m. against Albion College (5-5 overall), while the top-ranked Wartburg men (6-0 overall) will face the winner of Luther College (5-3 overall) and New York University (7-0 overall) at noon. 

The women's bracket features a 16-team field, as the men's side features 24 total programs.

NWCA NATIONAL DUALS HISTORY
The Wartburg men enter the weekend seeking their 15th NWCA National Duals title. The Knights most recently claimed the championship in 2024 with a 21–19 victory over Augsburg. Wartburg owns a 78-9 all-time record at the National Duals, with only four losses since the 2018 season, and boasts a 192-16-2 all-time mark against ranked opponents.

The Wartburg women placed seventh at last season's National Duals and hold a 7-7 all-time record against ranked competition. The Knights have already recorded two top-10 victories this season, defeating No. 8 Simon Fraser (24–22) and No. 5 Colorado Mesa (26–17) at the 2026 Desert Duals.

SEASON STATISTICS - MEN
Entering the NWCA National Duals, Wartburg has posted a .667 overall winning percentage (367–183). Charlie Dojan (15-0), Mitchell Williamson (11-0), and Kasey Ross (11-0) lead the Knights with undefeated records. Dojan paces the team with 10 technical falls, followed by Ross with seven. Syler Zdanczewicz (11-5) leads the squad with five major decisions, while Dojan and Anthony Ulaszek share the team lead with 15 total wins each. 
 
SEASON STATISTICS – WOMEN 
As a team, the Wartburg women carry a .632 winning percentage (332–193) entering the weekend. Gable Hemann leads the squad with a 12–1 record, highlighted by six technical falls and four pins. Kylie RuleAfftynn Stusse, and Chloe Sheffield have each compiled 11–1 records on the season. Rewa Chababo adds a 12–2 mark, totaling four falls, three technical falls, and three decision victories. 
Collectively, the Knights have amassed 124 technical falls, 90 falls, and 63 decision wins, accounting for 884.5 total team points.
