Women's Cross Country Move Up to No. 20; Men Hold No. 1 Ranking in Latest National Poll

WAVERLY, Iowa --- The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its weekly national poll on Wednesday, Oct. 21 and this week the women's team jumped four spots to No. 20, while the men's squad held the No. 1 ranking for a third-straight week.

Both teams competed last weekend at the Interregional Invite against nine other ranked teams in the women's field (three top ten teams) and eight other ranked teams in the men's field (three top ten teams). Wartburg took first overall in the men's team race and eighth-place in the women's team race. 

The Knights are back in action next on Saturday, Oct. 31 at the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Championships hosted by Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa.
