WAVERLY, Iowa & NORTHFIELD, Minn. — No.5/5 men's cross country finished first overall at the Running of the Cows Pre-Nationals meet while the women's team took 16th overall on Saturday, Oct. 3. The Knights also hosted the Dan Huston Invite, where Wartburg took second and third overall.
At the Max Championship Cross Country Course in Waverly, the Knights secured a second-place finish in the men's 8K with 60 points and third in the women's 6K with 99 points.
Clay Warson led the men, finishing fifth in 25:16.5, while
Cooper Cook added an 11th-place finish with a time of 25:31.5.
Abbey Angus was the top finisher for the women, placing 16th in 23:13.3, closely followed by
Julia Burney in 17th at 23:18.3.

In Northfield, the Knights excelled in the men's 8K, winning with a total of 110 points.
Isaiah Hammerand led the charge, winning the race in 24:05.1, followed by
Ayden Buchanan in eighth place at 24:42.3. The women's team faced a challenging field and placed 16th overall, with
Lydia Maas achieving a top finish of 29th in 22:06.7.
