WAVERLY, Iowa -- The No. 1/2-ranked Wartburg College men's wrestling team improved to 14-1 overall and 7-0 in American Rivers Conference action with a 33-6 victory over Coe College (8-5, 4-3 A-R-C) on Takedown MITO/Senior night inside Levick Arena.
 
The win extended Wartburg's conference dual winning streak to 49 and marked the Knights' 41st consecutive victory over the Kohawks. Wartburg leads the all-time series, 59-9.
 
Coe took an early 3-0 lead at 125 pounds as No. 8 Brayden Parke (17-4) defeated Brett Birchman (12-6), 4-3, with the riding-time point proving decisive.
 
Wartburg responded at 133 pounds when No. 5 Patrick Mullen (19-4) earned a 6-0 decision over No. 15 Brody Neighbor (18-6) to even the team score. At 141, No. 3 Kade Blume followed with a 14-4 major decision, giving the Knights their first lead of the night.
 
The Knights extended the advantage at 149 as Anthony Ulaszek (22-4) recorded his 16th pin of the season, stopping Ty Koedam (16-4) in 1:02 to make the score 13-3.
 
Top-ranked Charlie Dojan (23-0) added a 16-0 technical fall at 157, his 14th of the season. Coe answered with a decision at 165 to cut the margin to 18-6.
 
Wartburg closed out the dual by winning the final four bouts. No. 12 Mike Slade (20-7) posted a 12-2 major decision at 174, followed by No. 2 Kasey Ross (20-0) with a 16-0 technical fall at 184. No. 6 Cal Dorota (19-4) added a 3-0 decision at 197, before No. 1 Mitch Williamson (18-0) secured the final result with a 4-0 decision at heavyweight.
 
The Knights earned their 77th all-time dual victory inside Levick Arena and completed a 3-0 home record this season, improving to 77-3 all-time on their home mat.
