CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Wartburg College junior
Isaiah Hammerand has been named the American Rivers Conference Men's Track Performer of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Hammerand, a Epworth native, delivered an exceptional performance in the 5000m at the UW-Platteville Invitational on Friday.
Hammerand earned a second place finish with a time of 13:59.93 in a field with 343 total competitors. Hammerand stands third on the TFFRS list for this season.
This is Hammerand's first-career A-R-C weekly honor. Hammerand currently ranks third on the program's top 10 list in the 5000m and holds the program record in the 10000m.
The Knights will compete on Apr 17 (Fri) - Apr 18 (Sat) at the UW-La Crosse Phil Esten Challenge, Augustana Meet of Champions, and ESU Relays.
