Wartburg Wrestling Records Its Third National Title In 2003
ADA, Ohio - Wartburg wrestling recorded its third NCAA Division III National Championship and first of the decade when it totaled 166.5 points, which set a new NCAA record for most points in a championship tournament.

The title marks the third national championship that head coach Jim Miller has brought back to Waverly, Iowa.

The Knights recorded three individual national champions that included Heath Ropp (125), Wil Kelly (141) and LeRoy Gardner III (HWT). Wartburg also had a trio of wrestlers that placed second including Ozzie Saxon (133), Kevin Bratland (157) and Sonny Alvarez (184).
