Famiek Cook '20 enters his second season with the program in 2025-26.
Cook has spent the past two years as the assistant varsity coach responsible for long jump, hurdles, and sprints at Iowa City West High School. Three of his student-athletes qualified for the long jump at the Drake Relays and State Track and Field Championships. Three relay teams won State Championships under Cook in the 4x100m, 4x200m, and distance medley relay.
At Wartburg, he was a member of the 2019 All-American 4x400m relay team and was a five-time National Qualifier. Cook is an eight-time indoor All-Region honoree and three-time outdoor All-Region. He won the 2019 indoor and outdoor conference championship in the long jump and won the 2019 110 hurdles at outdoor conference. The Knights won the 2019 indoor conference and 2017 and 2019 outdoor conference championships during his career.
Cook graduated from Wartburg in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in fitness management and a minor in leadership.
