Trevor Kittleson enters his second year as the head assistant coach for men's wrestling in the 2025-26 season. He spent the previous academic year as a volunteer assistant coach with the program and was an admissions counselor for the college.
Prior to Wartburg, Kittleson was the head men's wrestling coach at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville for two seasons, where he coached two All-Americans, five national qualifiers and eight National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Scholar All-Americans.
Kittleson was the associate head men's wrestling coach at Loras College for five seasons before moving to UW-Platteville. He coached 25 All-Americans, 33 national qualifiers, one national finalist, two national champions and 14 NWCA Scholar All-Americans in his time with the Duhawks. Kittleson was a three-time NCAA Lower Midwest Regional Assistant Coach of the Year.Â
He was a four-year member of the University of Northern Iowa men's wrestling program. Kittleson was a 2009 NCAA qualifier (149 lbs.) and was a three-year starter for the Panthers.
After graduating from UNI with his bachelor's degree in physics education in 2011, he began his career as the head varsity boy's wrestling coach and teacher at Perry High School for five years. Kittleson coached 18 state qualifiers, nine state placewinners, two state finalists and one state champion.
