Joined the Wartburg staff in August of 2025.
Bornemeier is a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in sports management before earning a master’s degree in applied sports sciences in 2025. While studying at NW Missouri State, Bornemeier worked as both an athletics communications graduate assistant and athletics marketing intern.
Throughout these roles, Bornemeier executed gameday operations for 16 athletic programs and served as the main primary communications contact for Women's Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, Indoor/Outdoor Track & Field and Cross Country. He also exceled in content creation and social media management for multiple university affiliated social media accounts as well as the main athletics homepage at NW Missouri State through his graphic design and photography skills.
In 2021, Bornemeier graduated from Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC). While at DMACC, he earned his sports management associate degree and was a two-year member of the baseball team. He also has served as the head coach of his hometown legion baseball club for the past four years in Nehawka, Neb.
