Boxscore

DUBUQUE – No. 4-ranked Loras College posted a goal midway through the first half and late in the second stanza to hold off a gritty effort from Wartburg in 2010 NCAA Division III regional play Nov. 13.

Despite the two surrendered scores, sophomore goalkeeper Monica Noti (Carol Stream, Ill.), proved tough in net for a second successive night for Coach Sara Johnson’s squad. She repelled five other Duhawk shot on goal attempts to keep the Orange and Black close.

Wartburg (14-6-2) managed four shot attempts. Freshman defender Lauren Bauer (LaPorte City) took aim at Loras’ goal, forcing a save from Duhawk keeper Katie Chambers. Freshman midfielder Kelli Anderson (Cary, Ill.), sophomore defender Lindsey Boyke (Verona, Wis.), and sophomore midfielder Kaylee Benning (Waverly) added the other shots.

Notes – The Orange and Black’s 14 victories continue an impressive run. The program’s reeled off four consecutive campaigns of 14-or-more wins and seven straight years of 10-or-more wins.
