#9 Knights Defeat Spartans 2-1

DUBUQUE, Iowa-- The ninth-ranked women's soccer team (11-1-2 overall, 4-0-1 IIAC) defeated Iowa Conference opponent, Dubuque (8-6-0, 3-3-0) 2-1 Saturday afternoon.

Senior Katy Wendt (Bettendorf) put the Knights on the board with her goal just over four minutes into the game and sophomore Lauren Bauer (LaPorte City) extended their lead to 2-0 with her goal at 15:27.

Elizabeth Frazier scored Dubuque's lone goal of the day at 35:18

The Orange and Black return to the field Wednesday against Cornell at 5 p.m.
