A Look at the Teams:
Wartburg:
The Knights competed in UW-Whitewater’s tourney this past weekend and finished 1-2. The Orange and Black faced two Top 25 opponents in No. 10 Carthage and No. 22-host-UW-Whitewater.
Junior Britlyn Sieck (Fayette) leads the squad with her 370 kills and 3.19 kills per set. She has moved into the sixth spot on Wartburg’s list of career leaders in kills with her 1,292. She needs 11 more to move up to the No. 5 spot.
Six other players have surpassed the century mark in kills as freshman Bailey Wilson (West Des Moines) has 210, sophomore Kelly Niemann (Fredricksburg) has 199, junior Monique Davisson (Cedar Rapids) has 183 to date, senior Kamille VanNatta (Readlyn) has 173, sophomore Ramey Sieck (Fayette) has 161 and newcomer Maddie Forsyth (Charles City) has 132.
Similar to her older sister, Ramey currently holds the No. 6 spot for career leaders in assists with 1,651 and needs 58 more to move into fifth all-time.
Central:
Three players, Caitlin Kouba, Kiley Meyers and Amy Golly, have surpassed the 200 kill mark with 252, 234 and 210, respectively.
Kouba leads the team with her 2.47 kills per set and Meyers has a team-high .335 hitting percentage.
Maggie Snyder has 668 set assists running the Dutch’s offense and Golly leads the team at the service line with her 26 aces.
