WAVERLY, Iowa – The ninth-ranked Wartburg women’s soccer team (9-1-1 overall) defeated No. 22 St. Olaf (8-1-2) Wednesday night.

Lindsay Howard gave the Oles her early lead with her goal at 1:20 in to the game.

Senior Katy Wendt (Bettendrof) evened the score at 41:38.

Classmate Chelsea Frye (Waverly) scored the game-winner, and team-leading tenth goal of the season, less than a minute into the second half at 45:57.

St. Olaf held the team advantages in shots (15-12).

The Orange and Black return to the field Saturday when they host Iowa Conference opponent, Simpson at 1:30 p.m.
