CEDAR RAPIDS-- The Wartburg women's tennis team took third at the Iowa Conference Team Championships Saturday with its  5-3 win over Cornell Saturday.

In doubles play, Lindsay Greiner and Jenny Dallenbach combined for the 8-4 win over Kirsten Lasley and Ariana Hudson at the top spot.

Claire Evans and Leanna Jenkins fell 8-5 to Kara Middleton and Alyssa Zavislak at No. 2 and Jessica Behrer and Brita Jensen defeated Claudia Landsman and Kathleen Ellis 8-6 at No. 3.

In singles play, Greiner beat Lasley 6-2 and 6-4 at No. 1. Behrer defeated Landsman 6-1 and 6-4 at No. 5 and Jensen beat Purdy 6-4 and 6-2 at No. 6 to seal the win for the Knights.

The Iowa Conference Individual Championships is next weekend and that field will be released next week.
