PLATTEVILLE, Wis.-- The Wartburg volleyball team (17-7 overall) fell in five sets to Cornell (25-21, 16-25, 25-21, 22-25, 15-13) and seventh-ranked Carthage (21-25, 25-20, 25-23, 16-25, 15-9) Friday night at UW-Platteville's tournament.
Against the Rams, juniors Britlyn Sieck (Fayette) and Monique Davisson (Cedar Rapids) co-led the team with 12 kills each.
Sophomore Ramey Sieck (Fayette) had a double-double with 47 set assists and 13 digs.
Classmate Marissa Shinstine (Tripoli) had a team-high 23 digs while senior Kamille VanNatta (Readlyn) also finished in double-digits with 13.
Against the Lady Red, Davisson led the team with 15 kills and B. Sieck followed closely behind with 14.
R. Sieck recorded her second double-double of the night with 43 assists and 17 digs.
The Knights face Augustana (Ill) at 10 a.m. and Elmhurst at 2 p.m. Saturday.
