Wartburg Travels to Face Luther

WAVERLY, Iowa – The Wartburg men’s basketball team will (3-3 overall) travels to Decorah, Iowa Wednesday to face Iowa Conference opponent, Luther (3-1) to open the IIAC portion of its schedule.

A Look at the Teams:
Wartburg:
The Knights return to the court Wednesday, after taking third-place in the UW-Stout Tournament last weekend. In the consolation game, the Knights defeated Northland College 87-70 Sunday.
 
Senior Jordan Sathoff (Packwood) leads the team in scoring by a large margin, averaging 16.7 points per game in the team’s six games this season. He also leads the team in rebounds with 6.3 per contest.
 
Thomas Perkins (Sun Valley, Nev.) is next on the team in scoring, averaging 8.0 point/game. A close third is Eddie Diemer (Cedar Falls) averaging 7.3 per game and is also second on the team in rebounds with 5.0 per contest.
 
Luther
The Norse come into their upcoming game with the Knights off the tails of 64-61 win over Concordia-Moorehead last Sunday.
 
Dane Larson leads the team in scoring with 14.3 points per contest. He also leads the team in assists and field goals made.
 
Second on the team in scoring is Tyler Wedemeier averaging 9.8/ contest. A close third is John Androus averaging 9.5 points per game. He also leads the team in rebounds with 7.5 a game.
