DECORAH, Iowa—The Wartburg men’s basketball team (3-4 overall, 0-1 IIAC) fell 61-55 to Iowa Conference opponent, Luther (4-1, 1-0) Wednesday night.

Senior Jordan Sathoff (Packwood) led the team with 15 points and freshman Jamal Wright (Aurora, Colo.) rounded out the players in double-digits with his 10 points.

Sathoff also led the team on the boards with his seven rebounds.

The Knights jumped to a 7-4 lead in the first three minutes of the game, but the Norse answered with a 7-2 run over the next four minutes to take the 13-9 lead.

Luther was ahead 30-21 at halftime and the Orange and Black outscored them 34-31 in the second frame, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the margin.

Wartburg returns to the court Saturday at 4 p.m. when it hosts IIAC opponent, Simpson.
