Men’s Basketball to Face Buena Vista

WAVERLY, Iowa—The Wartburg men’s basketball team (4-4 overall, 1-1 IIAC) travels to Storm Lake, Iowa to face Iowa Conference opponent, Buena Vista (2-5, 0-1) Wednesday at 8 p.m.

A Look at the Teams:
Wartburg:

Senior Jordan Sathoff (Packwood) leads the team with his 17.9 PPG and 7.3 rebounds per game.
 
Junior Jordan Moore (New Hampton) has a team-best .720 field goal percentage and a team-high .818 free throw percentage while sophomore Thomas Perkins (Sun Valley, Nev.) leads the team beyond the arc (.636).
 
Buena Vista:
The Beavers have three players averaging double digits and are led by 12.3 PPG from Doug Bissen. Jeff Janssen and Wes Nordquist follow with 11.6 and 11.3 PPG, respectively.
 
Bissen has a team-best 6.4 rebounds per game.
 
Against IIAC Competitors:
Wartburg ranks in the top four in four categories amongst Iowa Conference opponents: third in field goal percentage (.462) and 3-PT field goal percentage (.368) and fourth in scoring offense (68.0 PPG) and assists (12.50/game).
Individually, Sathoff leads all players with his 21.5 PPG and is the second-leading rebounder (10.0)
