Wartburg College hosts the University of Dubuque in Iowa Conference action Saturday, April 23. First pitch is 2 p.m. at Lynes Field.
The afternoon is highlighted by the program’s recognition of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association’s “Strikeout Cancer” initiative. Since starting the Cancer initiative more than ten years ago, NFCA membership teams have raised tens of thousands of dollars to support the fight against cancer. In addition to fundraised dollars, this initiative has provided a platform to raise awareness for breast cancer as well as support for women's cancer research.
Individuals unable to attend the games can follow along via Wartburg’s athletic social media network by “liking” Wartburg Athletics on Facebook or following KnightsSid on Twitter.
