#24 Knights Travel to Face Duhawks

WAVERLY, Iowa—The 24th ranked Wartburg College volleyball team (8-2 overall, 2-0 IIAC) travels to Dubuque, Iowa to face Iowa Conference opponent, Loras College (5-5, 2-0), Friday night at 7:30 p.m.

Among IIAC competitors, the Knights lead the conference in hitting percentage (.273), is tied for second in service aces and third in blocks (15.0). Wartburg has held its opponents to a .065 hitting percentage.

The Knights have four players ranked in the top 10 among all individuals in hitting percentage as sophomore Kelly Niemann (Fredricksburg) leads the conference (.545), freshman Bailey Wilson (West Des Moines) is second (.385), sophomore Maddie Forsyth (Charles City) is fifth (.316) and senior Kamille VanNatta (Readlyn) is seventh (.288).

Team Leaders:
Loras: Regan Riley has a team-high 118 kills, 108 digs and 3.37 kills per set average. Julie Rogers has 282 set assists to date running the Duhawks’ offense.  Kenzie Goedken leads the team from the service line with 17 aces.

Wartburg: Junior Britlyn Sieck (Fayette) leads the team with 116 kills and has 1038 in her career to date which ranks eighth-best in program history. She needs 169 more to move into seventh place.

Senior Nicole Beer (Boone) has 167 digs and VanNatta has 126.

Sophomores Marissa Shinstine (Tripoli) and Ramey Sieck (Fayette) have 202 and 199 set assists, respectively to date.

Niemann leads the team at the service line with 15 aces.

Record Watch:
Head Coach Jennifer Walker needs nine more wins to eclipse the 300 win mark for her time at the helm of Wartburg's program and six more for her entire career.
