ST. PAUL, Minn.—The 10th ranked Wartburg women’s soccer team (5-0-1) won its fourth-straight game in the 1-0 victory over non-conference opponent, Macalester (4-2-1) Tuesday night.
Sophomore Anna Aquino (Bettendorf) netted the game-winner at 28:42 from 10 yards out. Junior Taylor Vermie (Cedar Rapids) had the assist.
The Orange and Black held the team advantage in shots (10-5).
Junior goalkeeper Monica Noti (Carol Stream, Ill.) tallied her third consecutive shutout win in the net and made one save on the game.
The Knights return to the field Saturday when they open Iowa Conference play against Central in Pella, Iowa at 1 p.m.
