No. 24 Volleyball Travels to Chicago

WAVERLY, Iowa—The 24th-ranked Wartburg volleyball team (9-3 overall) will compete in the University of Chicago’s tournament this weekend.

The Knights will face Millikin (10-2) at 4 p.m. Friday and then Trinity Christian College at 8 p.m. Saturday, the Orange and Black will play Susquehanna (3-8) at 9:30 a.m. and Elmhurst (9-3) at 1:30 p.m.

A Look at the Field:
Millikin: Two players, Kelsy England and Audrey Krajec, have surpassed the century mark in kills with 195 and 117, respectively to date. England also leads the team at the service line with her 16 aces. Brittany Cardott has 426 set assists and Brittany Childress has a team-best 158 digs.

Trinity Christian: No stats were available.

Susquehanna: Emily Carson leads the team with 138 kills and 102 digs.  Shona St. Angelo has tallied 247 set assists to date.

Elmhurst: Megan Reynolds is the lone player with triple digit kills at 137. Erin Thill leads the team with 309 set assists and 18 service aces. Sam Saarmach also has 18 aces to date and Perrie Morgan has 220 digs.

Wartburg: Junior Britlyn Sieck (Fayette) and Kamille VanNatta (Readlyn) lead the squad with 132 and 110 kills, respectively. Freshman Bailey Wilson (West Des Moines) is nearing the century mark with 93. Sophomores Marissa Shinstine (Tripoli) and Ramey Sieck (Fayette) have 241 and 236 set assists, respectively while classmate Kelly Niemann (Fredricksburg) leads the team from the service line with 17 aces.

Senior Nicole Beer (Boone) has 195 digs with VanNatta joining her in triple digits with 150.
