A Look Back at Last Week:
Wartburg:
Freshman JJ Hanus (Solon) in his first collegiate start threw for 195 yards (19-25-0) and had two touchdown passes in the 42-21 win over Buena Vista last week. He also scored one rushing touchdown and accounted for 245 of the Knights’ 421 total offensive yards.
Senior Reese Thompson (Van Horne) joined him in triple digits with his 155 rushing yards and two touchdowns. This marked his second 100-yard game of the year and tied his career high with his two scores.
Luther:
The Norse fell, 29-0, to Dubuque last week in their Homecoming game.
Tyler Holmlund led the team’s running attack with 24 yards and signalcaller Kody Moore finished 9-23-2 for 73 yards.

Wartburg:
Thompson leads the team on the ground with his 404 yards and six touchdowns. Classmate Connor Dahlstrom
(Eldridge) joins him in triple figures with 193 yards. Freshman Logan Schrader (Kildeer, Ill.) has thrown for 787 yards
and five touchdowns and is 65-100 with three interceptions. Five Knights have surpassed the 100-yard mark in receptions: Senior Curt Hruska (New Hampton) has 227; sophomore Donald Miller (Maywood, Ill.), 213; senior DJ Looft (Armstrong), 187; freshman Cywettnie Brown (Chicago), 143; and sophomore Logan Ruffridge (Cedar Rapids), 101.
Luther:
Dan Ridenour is the team’s leading rusher with 263 yards and two touchdowns. Holmlund joins him in triple digits with
190 yards. Moore has thrown for 867 yards and is 89-161 with nine interceptions.
Four Norse have surpassed the century mark in receptions. Zach Jipp leads the group with 261 yards, followed by Matt Jaronik, 200; Adam Bohr, 195; and Drew Helle,108.
Trent Kerrigan leads the defense with 35 solo tackles and 30 assists for 65 total tackles.

Individually, five players are ranked in five categories.
Newcomer Logan Schrader (Kildeer, Ill.) is 62nd in passing efficiency (141.61).
Freshman Grant Zimmerman (Mendota, Ill.) is 29th in punting (39.50) and classmate Frank Loconti (Glenbard, Ill.) is tied for 65th in field goals (.75/game).
Senior Reese Thompson (Van Horne) is tied for 91st in scoring (7.20 points/game) and junior Ryan Billings (Sterling, Ill.) is tied for 96th in tackles for loss (1.40/game).
