EAU CLAIRE, Wis.-- The Wartburg women's soccer team (11-3-3 overall) drew a 1-1 double overtime tie against UW-Eau Claire (8-7-2) Sunday afternoon.

The Blugolds took the early 1-0 lead as Paige LaGate scored just over four minutes (4:31) into the game.

This remained the score until junior Rachel Torry (Urbandale) connected on a pass from freshman Brittany Frush (La Porte City) at 70:25 to even the score.

UW- Eau Claire held the narrow advantage in shots (5-4) over the two extra sessions, but neither team was able to capitalize to end the game in a tie.

The Knights return to the field Tuesday when they travel to face Luther at 5 p.m.
