CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa-- The Wartburg women's tennis team competed at the Iowa Conference individual championships.

Weekend Results:

Flight A Singles:
Melissa Davis won her opening round match 3-6, 6-4, 10-2 but fell 6-4 6-4 in the second round.

Claire Evans fell 5-7, 6-2 and 10-8, Katherine Ross was defeated 6-1, 6-2 and Jenny Dallenbach fell 6-1, 6-2 in the opening round.

Flight B Singles:
Emily Peterson narrowly fell 9-8 and Emily Rasmussen was defeated 8-3 in the first round.

Michelle McKenzie won her match 8-3 and second round match 6-3, 6-1. She was defeated 6-2, 0-6 and 1-0 by Lindsay Nash of Simpson in the quarterfinals.

Jessica Behrer fell 8-5, Marissa Buresh fell 8-2 and Berit Seeburg fell 8-1 in the first round.

Flight C Singles:
Liz Heying won her opening match 8-1 but was defeated in the second round 8-2.

Flight A Doubles:
Evans/Davis fell 8-2 and Dallenbach/McKenzie fell 9-7 in the first round.

Flight B Doubles:
Liz Heying/Seeburg fell 8-0 and Brita Jensen/Ross won their opening match 8-0. Jensen/Ross won their second-round match 8-2.

The duo won their quarterfinal match 8-5 but were defeated by Simpson's Bost/Anderson 8-5 in the semifinals.

Jensen/Ross won the third place match against Simpson's Nash/Ehrhardt 8-5.

Rasmussen/Behrer won their first round match 8-3 and their second-round match 9-8. The duo was defeated by Coe's Washton/Sebastian, 8-0.
