WAVERLY, Iowa-- The No. 16 Wartburg women's soccer team moved to 10-4-1 on the year and 4-0-0 in Iowa Conference play in its 3-1 win Tuesday night over Iowa Conference opponent, Buena Vista (9-5-1, 0-4-0).

This was also the Think Pink Knight event as Wartburg wore pink uniform tops.

Senior Kaylee Benning (Waverly) finished with four points on the game as she scored the first two of the game at 33:47 and 38:24 to give the Knights the 2-0 lead at halftime.

Sophomore Brinkly Werkman (Marion) had an assist on Benning's second goal.

Older sister Shaleigh Werkman (Marion) scored her first goal of the season at 73:05 as she connected on a pass from junior Taylor Shaw (Ely).

Buena Vista's Sam Richards scored the lone goal for her team as her shot slipped past Wartburg's goalie just below the cross bar.

The Orange and Black return to the field Saturday when they travel to face Loras College at 1 p.m.
