WAVERLY, Iowa -- The Wartburg softball team hosts Iowa Conference opponent, Buena Vista, in a
doubleheader Saturday at 2 p.m. in the annual Senior Day. The Knights’ Class of 2012, Emily Braem, Lynn Heitkamp, and Lauren Popov, will be recognized in a pre-game ceremony.

A Look at the Teams:
Wartburg:
Freshman Katie Canney (Adel) leads the squad with her .378 average and has a team-best
three triples and 20 RBIs.

Heitkamp follows with her .366 average and has a team-best ten doubles.

Newcomer Hayley Woszczynski (Alton, Ill.) leads the pitching staff with her 3.87 ERA
and 44 strikeouts in 72.1 innings pitched.

Buena Vista:
Stephanie Hayden leads her squad with a .356 average and two triples.
 
Brooke Berkey and Sam Engleman join her above .300 with averages of .352 and .316,
respectively.
 
Chancey Wilcke has a 1.78 ERA in 114.1 innings of work.
