Volleyball Moves up to No. 18, Opens IIAC Slate at Central

WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg volleyball team (7-1 overall) moved up to No. 18 in the AVCA Top 25 Poll for week two and opens Iowa Conference play tonight at 7:30 p.m. on the road against Central College (1-7).

A Look at the Teams:
Wartburg:

Senior Britlyn Sieck (Fayette) leads the team with her 107 kills and average of 4.12 kills/set.

Younger sister Ramey has recorded 253 set assists to date and leads the squad with her 12 service aces.

Junior Marissa Shinstine (Tripoli) has amassed 116 digs on the young season.

Classmate Kelly Niemann (Fredricksburg) and sophomore Bailey Wilson (West Des Moines) have 22 and 21 total blocks, respectively.

Central:
Tess Reining leads the Dutch with her 58 kills and average of 2.07 kills/set.

Claire Stewart has 159 assists directing the offense and Lindsey Von Gillern has eight services aces.

Tori Zempel leads the defense with her 72 digs.
