#18 Volleyball Moves Streak to Twelve

MOUNT VERNON, Iowa-- The No. 18 volleyball team moved its winning streak to 12 straight matches with its 3-0 sweep over St. Olaf and 3-1 win over Augsburg Saturday at the Cornell Classic and are 12-1 on the year.

Against St. Olaf, the Knights won 20-17, 25-23 and 25-17.

Junior Maddie Forsyth (Charles City) had a team-best 13 kills in the match, narrowly missing her career mark of 14.

Senior Britlyn Sieck (Fayette) joined her teammate in double figures with 11 kills.

Younger sister Ramey had 33 assists running the offense and added 10 digs.

Classmate Marissa Shinstine (Tripoli) had 25 digs and freshman Jamie Farley (Cedar Falls) also had 10 digs.

Wartburg's defense held the Oles to a .063 hitting percentage.

Against Augsburg, Ramey recorded yet another triple double as she had 12 kills, 40 assists and 18 digs.

Britlyn had a team-best 18 kills and Forsyth had 12 kills.

Two other players tallied double digit digs as sophomore Karly Bown (Lincoln, Neb.) had 14 and freshman Jamie Farley (Cedar Falls) had 11.

The Knights return to the court Wednesday when they host Loras at 7:30 p.m. for the annual Blackout night.
