DECORAH, Iowa-- Senior Michelle McKenzie (Waverly) earned Wartburg's lone point with her win at No. 5 singles in the 8-1 loss to Iowa Conference opponent, Luther, Tuesday.

The Knights are now 4-3 overall and 0-2 in IIAC play.

In the rest of the singles matchs, senior Jenny Dallenbach (Decorah) fell 7-5, 6-2 at the top spot.

Freshman Melissa Davis (Lakewood, Colo.) fell 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2, newcomer Katherine Ross (Littleton, Colo.) was defeated 4-6, 6-3 and 10-6 at the third spot.

Senior Claire Evans (Alden) fell 5-7, 6-2 and 10-03 at No. 4 and junior Jessica Behrer (Urbandale) rounded out the competitors as she fell 6-0, 6-2.

In doubles play, Davis/Evans were defeated 8-3 at the top spot, Dallenbach/McKenzie fell 8-4 and Behrer/Jensen lost 8-1.

The Orange and Black return to the court this weekend at the ITA Invitational in St. Peter, Minn.
