INDIANOLA, Iowa--The No. 15 Wartburg volleyball team swept Iowa Conference opponent, Simpson, Wednesday night, to improve to 14-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play. The Storm are now 3-12, 1-2.

The Knights won 25-18, 25-17, 25-21 to increase their school-record winning streak to 14.

Senior Britlyn Sieck (Fayette) and sophomore Bailey Wilson (West Des Moines) each had 10 kills to lead the team.

Wilson had a staggering hitting percentage of .714 and added two service aces.

Juniors Kelly Niemann (Fredricksburg) and Maddie Forsyth (Charles City) narrowly missed double-digits as each had nine kills on the night.

Junior Ramey Sieck (Fayette) tallied 35 set assists as she ran the Orange and Black's offense and classmate Marissa Shinstine (Tripoli) recorded 16 digs as the anchor for the defense.

Wartburg held the team advantages in kills (42-31), hitting percentage (.312 vs. .120), digs (43-34)  and blocks (7-6).

The Knights return to action this weekend at UW-Whitewater's tournament.
