WHITEWATER, Wis.-- The No. 15 Wartburg volleyball team (15-2 overall) played in two five-set matches in the first day of the UW-Whitewater tournament as the Knights won 3-2 over Cornell but fell 3-2 in the nightcap to No. 11 Elmhurst.

Against Cornell, the scores were 24-26, 25-21, 18-25, 25-23 and 15-12.

Against Elmhurst, the scores were 25-17, 23-25, 21-15, 26-24 and 15-11.

With the loss to Elmhurst, the Orange and Black's school-record winning streak was halted at 15.

Wartburg continues play in the tournament in the morning.
