A Look at the Teams:
Wartburg finished 2-1 on the weekend at the National Invitational in Springfield, Ohio. The Knights lost 3-1 to defending national champions, Wittenburg on Friday but swept No. 24 Trinity and Whitworth on Saturday.
Junior Ramey Sieck (Fayette) had a triple-double (14 kills, 28 set assists and 10 digs) against Trinity.
Older sister Britlyn led the team with 42 kills on the weekend with an average of 4.20 kills/set.
Ramey was the second-leading hitter with 27 kills and classmate Maddie Forsyth (Charles City) was close behind with 25 in the tournament.
Ramey also has a team-best three service aces and classmate Marissa Shinstine (Tripoli) leads the squad with her 35 digs.
Grinnell:
The Pioneers finished 1-3 at the Northwestern College Tournament.
Claire Weidman leads the team with her 84 kills and Michelle Briggs follows closely behind with 80.
Bethine Moore has 69 set assists and Erica Tharp has 26 to date.
Lindsay Fujimoto has a team-best 45 digs and Emma Knatterud-Johnson has a team-high six service aces.
