WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg men's basketball team (10-6 overall, 5-1 IIAC) hosts Luther (12-5, 5-1) tonight at 8 p.m. in a battle for first in the Iowa Conference standings.

Wartburg holds the lead in the all-time series 69-25. Last year’s meetings were split as each team won on their home court.

Wartburg:
The Knights had a five-game winning string halted at Loras on Monday.

Junior Eddie Diemer (Cedar Falls) leads the team with 11.8 PPG and 6.1 rebounds per game.

Senior Mitchell Murphy (Cresco) joins him in double figures with10.9 PPG. He became the program’s career assists leader Saturday.

Luther:
The Norse had their six-game winning streak snapped at Dubuque on Monday.

Tyler Wedemeier and Zach Matos lead the team with 16.0 and 11.2 PPG, respectively.

Wedemeier leads the team on the glass with 8.4 rebounds per game.
