WAVERLY, Iowa -- Sophomore Dan Van Groningen (Oak Forest, Ill.) scored a career-high 12 points in Wartburg's 58-55 win over Loras Saturday.

This was the second meeting of the year as Loras won on Monday.

The Knights moved to 11-7 on the year and are 6-2 in Iowa Conference games while the Duhawks fall to 6-13, 1-7.

Senior Mitchell Murphy (Cresco) joined him in double digits with 11 points.

The Orange and Black took the 33-23 lead at halftime but Loras compiled a strong second-half, outscoring them 32-25.

The score was tied 49 all with 5:15 to play. Wartburg compiled a 6-2 run over the next 2:30 to regain the lead for good.

The Knights take to the road next week and will face Dubuque Wednesday at 8 p.m.
