WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg volleyball team moved to 23-10 on the season and finished the regular season with a perfect 7-0 conference record in its 3-1 win over No. 23 ranked Coe (32-4, 6-1) Wednesday night.
The Knights won the Iowa Conference regular-season title for the second straight year.
The Orange and Black claimed the first two sets 25-13 and 25-22 before the Kohawks took the third, 25-23.
Wartburg won the fourth set 25-20 to seal the win, conference title and No. 1 seed for the conference tournament. The Knights earned a first-round bye and will host the winner of the 4/5 game Thursday at 7 p.m.
Senior Maddie Forsyth (Charles City) led all hitters with 16 kills. Junior Bailey Wilson (West Des Moines) and senior Ramey Sieck (Fayette) joined her in double digits with 11 and 10 kills, respectively.
Sieck also tallied a triple-double with 38 set assists and 20 digs.
The Orange and Black outblocked the Kohawks 11-3 and held them to a .056 hitting percentage.
Wartburg returns to the court Friday when it competes in Cornell's triangular.
