WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg women's soccer team (5-6-1 overall, 2-1-0 IIAC) narrowly fell 2-1 to No. 18 Loras (10-2-1, 3-0-0) Saturday.

Ailish Rispin's goal at 8:08 gave the Duhawks the early 1-0 lead.

This remained the score through halftime until sophomore Brittany Frush (La Porte City) scored her second goal of the year at 68:26 that fell in just under the cross bar to even the score at one all.

Neither team was able to score for the duration of regulation, to send the game to overtime.

Loras' Katie Truesdale scored the game-winner at 94:51 on a shot to the lower left hand corner of the net.

Wartburg returns to the field Wednesday when it hosts nonconference opponent, Macalester, at 6 p.m.
