WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg volleyball team (16-8 overall, 4-0 IIAC) swept Iowa Conference opponent, Buena Vista (12-7, 1-3) 3-0 Tuesday night.

Senior Maddie Forsyth (Charles City) had a team-best 11 kills and classmates Ramey Sieck (Fayette) and Kelly Niemann (Fredricksburg) followed with six.

Sieck also led the team at the service line on the night with five aces.

The Knights' defense held Buena Vista to a .093 hitting percentage.

The Orange and Black held the advantage in service aces (12-1) and blocks (5-3).

Wartburg returns to action next Tuesday on the road against Luther at 7 p.m.
